Reliable Ingredients for a Healthier Environment
We manufacture products that contribute towards a healthier environment for everyone. It begins by processing natural, grain feedstock in sustainable ways to achieve highest and best use in products that enrich our everyday lives. These highest value products range from high-quality alcohols used in food, beverage, pharmaceuticals, home, health and beauty products, and industrial applications including adhesives, inks, and textiles. We also produce renewable fuel, contributing materially to the reduction of carbon emissions. As important are the essential ingredients we produce used primarily in food and feed products and renewable fuel applications.

We have entered into a multi-year program with SEDEX to conduct risk assessments of suppliers which provides visibility into sourcing of goods and services, supports initial data collection for Scope 3 Greenhouse Gas estimates, and ensures our partners have responsible and ethical business practices in place. We also conduct on-site assessments of critical suppliers and provide annual scorecards of performance to key vendors.
Cybersecurity
At Alto Ingredients, we realize the importance of protecting our company, customer and vendor data, and that cybersecurity is key to business continuity. The audit committee in coordination with the CFO and Director of IT are responsible for overseeing information security practices. Our Board of Directors are briefed annually alongside any event-driven needs, and the Board was last briefed on cybersecurity in February, 2023. We facilitate internal and external cybersecurity training for all employees, engage a third-party firm to perform routine assessments, and we maintain information security risk insurance.

As we focus on enhancing our environmental, health and safety, and risk management efforts, we are maintaining awareness of SEC’s guidance on climate-related disclosures and have committed to transparency at every level with the Board and working group committees directing our initiatives and increasing our impact.
